Elham, an Iranian teenage woman and member of the Resistance Units in Iran, gave an interview to Al Ghad TV on 10 August 2022 to discuss the “We Can and We Must” campaign aimed at overthrowing the religious dictatorship. The campaign has been promoted by the main opposition group People’s Mojahedin Organisation of Iran (PMOI or MEK).
Elham was one of 5,000 members of the Resistance Units in Iran who participated in the “We Can and We Must” campaign to overthrow the mullahs’ regime.
She noted the expansion of the Resistance Units in Iran and their activities, stating:
I’m Elham from Isfahan and 18 years old and part of the resistance in Iran. There are Resistance Units almost all over Iran and their activities are in all cities of Iran. They are everywhere.
The Resistance Units are the nightmare of the Islamic Republic. I want to tell you about some of the activities that the Resistance Units always have. For example, distributing photos of President Maryam Rajavi, and writing on walls, and spreading slogans of overthrowing the regime, disabling the regime’s websites and many other large and dangerous operations such as disabling the Tehran municipality’s CCTV.
In this year’s campaign, the participants are five times more than last year. That is because the Iranian people want to see a free Iran and want to get their voices heard, and the PMOI is the only organisation that helps us in the great fight for freedom.
The Resistance Units are the vanguards of the society, and they break the wall of suppression, and this helps us overcome any fear of this regime.
We want freedom for our country, and we will do anything to gain this freedom, and we will never give up.
I ask the international community to support the PMOI and to stop dealing with the mullahs. Thank you.
